Printing Using CS4  

1) Open your file and size it for the paper you are using. Printer resolution 240PPI

2) In the Menu - Select File > Print, to open the dialog box

3) Review the three columns that make up this window.

The first column is a preview of how your image will look on your paper. Size and orientation. You will also notice when you change your paper profile (in the 3rd column) the colors will change to show you a soft proof of how your image, ink, paper combination will look on the paper you are printing to.


4) PAGE SETUP dialog box:

-Settings: Leave set to, Page Attributes

-Format For: Choose your printer

-Paper Size: Choose your paper size

-Orientation: Choose horizontal or vertical

-Scale: leave set to 100%


In the 2nd column

5) Choose your printer

6) Choose the orientation of your paper

Do not Scale to Fit Media. You already sized your file in Photoshop for printing


The third column
FIRST select Document

7) Then under Color Handling: Photoshop Manages Colors”

8) Printer Profile — Select the profile for the printer/ink combination you are using

9) Rendering Intent — Generally select Relative Colorimetric.

10) Select Black Point Compensation

11) Click Print

12) Pull down the Layout drop down menu: Select, Print Setting

13) Media Type: Type of paper you are printing on

14) Color: Color

15) Color Settings: Off (No Color Adjustment)

16) Mode: Select Advanced Settings

17) Print Quality
- print quality best photo for the 2400 printers

18) Click off High Speed

19) Click Print
